Business Analyst Manager

 WheresMyConcrete (WMC) provides innovative, cloud-based software solutions to the concrete industry that focus on efficiency, customer experience, and mobility.  Products include dispatching, electronic billing, mobile tickets, sales tools, enhanced analytics, and live customer interaction.  WMC utilizes modern web and mobile technologies in an agile, iterative environment.  WMC is the software division of U.S. Concrete (NASDAQ: USCR) and services customers across the United States and Australia.


Position Summary

The Business Analyst Manager manages a team of resources that implement, train, support and define feature enhancements for the WMC product line. Success in this role requires hands-on involvement in all aspects of the application lifecycle management and superior communication and management skills in dealing with team members and customers.

This position will report directly to the Director of Business Analysis.


Essential Job Functions

  • Leads a team of business analysts in implementing and supporting the WMC product line.
  • Work closely with our Customers to support, develop, and implement scalable, robust solutions that increase efficiencies and improve the user experience
  • Accountable for exploring, capturing, understanding, enhancing and documenting business requirements. Assignments can cover any business function and are unlimited in scope and complexity.
  • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both business needs and a thorough understanding of IT systems and industry requirements.
  • Develops training materials and conducts training sessions for end users as required.
  • Oversees multiple high-visibility projects and initiatives, coordinating schedules and stakeholder communications with customers.
  • Leads and manages project teams and works closely with customers.
  • Works with and assist in managing vendors and contract resources.
  • Supports day to day systems management, including new installs, new acquisitions, upgrading and troubleshooting of WMC.
  • Monitors industry and technical trends, assessing impacts on current and future applications.
  • Monitors project status and completion daily to ensure project(s) are on track and moving towards completion.
  • Identifies and proactively mitigates project issues and risks.
  • Travels occasionally as required.
  • Other duties as required



  • Strong business analysis, software development/engineering background.
  • Proven track record for successfully delivering projects on time and under budget.
  • Able to plan, staff and direct a group of professionals.
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of IT technologies and their capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Relentless commitment to authentic relationships and continuous improvement of those relationships.
  • Proactive work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
  • Project management/PMP certification is a plus.
  • Strong customer service mentality.


Education and Experience

  • 10+ years technical experience in a variety of system environments.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership in planning, directing and administering of work efforts.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the construction materials industry a plus.
  • Experience with Command Alkon products a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus.
