Position Summary

The Agile Business Analyst defines improvements to the WMC product suite, assists decision-makers in gathering information to make decisions, helps quality assurance test solutions and products, designs user interfaces and may steps in as a product owner, scrum master, or project manager as the occasion calls for.

Success in this role requires hands-on involvement in all aspects of the application lifecycle management and strong relationships with fellow peers and managers across the business.

The Agile Business Analyst will report directly to the Director of Software Development.


Essential Job Functions

  • Requirements gathering by applying different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epic stories into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
  • Creates user stories and acceptance criteria to express requirements.
  • Conduct testing such as functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), automated acceptance testing (AAT), and specification by example.
  • Builds trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Travels occasionally as required.
  • Other duties as required



  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Scrum process and role of Product Owner.
  • Experience providing product management support such as prioritization and backlog grooming.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage team members, clients, and stakeholders and communicate business expectations to the technical development expert in ways they can produce desired outcome.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a cross functional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to manage meetings, lead project teams, train users and communicate effectively with senior management.


Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in an Agile Business Analyst or similar role.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience translating client and product requirements into application requirements and user stories.
  • 3+ years of defining acceptance criteria and managing acceptance process with a development team.
  • 3+ years Jira.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership in planning, directing and administering of work efforts.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proactive work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the construction materials industry a plus.
  • Relentless commitment to authentic relationships and continuous improvement of those relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
