Operations Recruiter | NYC Area

Under the direction of the Regional Human Resource Manager, the Operations Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment and placement of operation employees in New York.

Essential Job Functions

  • Execute recruiting strategies to deliver suitable job candidates for assigned hourly, driver positions.
  • Develop effective recruiting plans and strategies.
  • Identify and implement recruitment opportunities such as Social Media, Job Ads, Flyers, Job Fairs, Networking.
  • Confer with management to identify recruiting needs.
  • Pre-screen candidate's resumes and job applications.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Assure a complete process, including Application, Interview, Road Test, Job Offer, Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background/Verification, and New Hire Orientation Scheduling.
  • Evaluate and track new hire progress during the probationary period
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to managers.
  • Maintain accurate and current applicant data base.
  • Extend offers of employment within company procedures.
  • Keep current with sourcing strategies and industry trends.
  • Ensure regulatory aspects of the full cycle recruitment process is compliant with DOT regulations for driving positions.

Education and Experience:  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three (3) years of recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education required.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations as they apply to hiring processes.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and applicants.

Other Required Skills:                                                                                    

Proficient in Microsoft Office software; strong organizational and time management skills; must be able to maintain confidential information.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to drive to all operations facilities throughout New York.

While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, walk, talk, hear and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
